Massachusetts Trails
Hiking in Massachusetts, located in the northeastern U.S., is known for its scenic coastline and Cape Cod National Seashore, an area dominated by massive dunes and bluffs along the Atlantic Ocean.
Eastern Massachusetts is home to low, rolling hills and small lakes, streams and rivers, while the Appalachian Mountains stretch across western Massachusetts. The 2,184-mile-long Appalachian Trail, which extends between Springer Mountain in Georgia and Mount Katahdin in Maine, also runs through this part of the state.
