According to user surveys, King County's Trailhead Direct shuttle earned top reviews--but not many riders--on its debut run last August through mid-October. The shuttle, designed to fix parking and congestion problems at popular Issaquah-area trailheads such as Poo Poo Point, Margaret's Way, and East Sunset Way, carried about 900 total hikers. An average of 40 people used it each weekend day of operation.
King County Hikers Can Now Catch Shuttles to Area Trailheads
To prevent overfull parking lots at three popular trails, Trailhead Direct will connect Metro riders on weekends and holidays.
