Tom McClintock’s (R-Elk Grove) bill to allow mountain bikes in wilderness areas, citing frustrations with how current law prevents building long-distance bike trails. The measure remains controversial, with groups like the International Mountain Biking Association and The Wilderness Society opposing it.
