A young bobcat found partially paralyzed on Jekyll Island in September has been released back into the wild with a new GPS tracking collar after vets at the Jacksonville Zoo nursed it back to health. Experts suspect a tick-borne toxin was to blame for the cat’s condition. Bobcats hadn’t been spotted on Jekyll Island for about 100 years until 2014, when a remote camera captured proof of one.
