Park officials are investigating a Monday night fire at Joshua Tree National Park as arson. The 2.5-acre blaze, located just behind the park’s visitor center, significantly damaged the historic Oasis of Mara landmark, affecting palm trees, wildlife, and potentially, archeological resources.
