Starting in June, getting into most national parks will cost an extra $5.

This week, the National Park Service announced it was raising entrance fees by $5 at all parks that charge admission, with the highest fees coming to $35 at the most popular parks (including Yellowstone, Yosemite, Grand Canyon, and Rocky Mountain National Parks). The NPS had originally proposed jacking admission prices up to $70 at 17 marquee parks, but a largely negative public response shut the measure down. The increase takes effect June 1.
