Washington’s State Route 20 through the North Cascades is set to open on Friday after about seven weeks of plowing (longer than usual, due to snow and avalanche conditions). The road improves access to North Cascades National Park and makes it easier to travel between Seattle and eastern Washington and the Methow Valley.
