Mountain Lion Spotted in Laurel Canyon

A wildlife camera image gives the first proof of a cougar living in a slice of proposed preserved land in the Hollywood Hills.

A blurry, black-and-white image snapped from a wildlife camera at the end of October confirmed that at least one mountain lion is hanging out in Laurel Canyon. The uncollared big cat is the first evidence of a cougar passing through a 17-acre plot of land that Citizens for Los Angeles Wildlife and the Laurel Canyon Assn. are trying to preserve for urban wildlife.
