Moose Attacks Jamestown Woman in Her Backyard

Colorado Parks & Wildlife Officials remind hikers and homeowners alike to be on the lookout for the large ungulates.

Moose on the loose! A Jamestown woman, her friend, and her dog sustained minor injuries when a moose with two calves entered her backyard and attacked her in early June. Such incidents are rare, but moose have been known to act defensively around dogs. Wildlife officials reminded people who live in and visit the mountains to give moose a wide berth.
