The Laurel Canyon Assn. and Citizens for Los Angeles Wildlife have purchased 17.3 acres in Laurel Canyon for $1.6 million. The area, which includes a mountain ridge, will be preserved from development and managed by the Mountain Recreations and Conservation Authority. There are no trails on the parcel now, but the authority could build some in the future.
