Wildfires continue to bedevil Arizona this week, as Governor Doug Ducey declared a state of emergency for the Goodwin Fire burning in Yavapai County. The 21,000-acre fire has already prompted evacuations and was 1 percent contained as of Wednesday. The emergency declaration frees up $200,000 to fighting what Gov. Ducey called “the state’s highest priority.”
