Day permits to visit the Fossil Creek area are now on sale for the period April 1 through September 30. The Coconino National Forest instituted the permit system in 2016 to manage overcrowding in the Wild & Scenic River corridor. Permits cost $10 and include a reserved parking spot at a specific trailhead.
