Based on the Japanese practice "Shinrin-Yoku", Forest Therapy is receiving increased attention with numerous sources--including Outside Magazine, National Geographic Explorer, The Washington Post, and NPR. Come join Nancy Kopans, practicing Forest Therapy Guide, for an experiential presentation about this sensory-focused way to interact with nature right here in New York City! Nancy will speak about the origins of Forest Therapy and its benefits, and will share the experience of a Forest Therapy walk through slides and introductions to aspects of the practice. She also will provide takeaways for you to enhance your own nature connection. Whether you are an outdoor athlete or adventurer, a naturalist, or prefer less challenging physical pursuits, Forest Therapy offers a profound yet highly accessible way to connect with nature and enhance your sense of wellbeing.
