Rattlesnakes are always a hazard for adventurous dogs, but the problem could be even worse this season thanks to the rainy winter. All that moisture boosts rodent populations, which in turn attracts the rattlers. Experts advise vaccinating dogs against rattlesnake bites, which can buy you precious time in getting them to vet for an antivenin shot.
