Rescuers responded to a call for help from an injured climber on Mt. Baker last Sunday, successfully airlifting him and his hiking partner to safety from a 8,800-foot rock slope. The injured man had broken his arm and some ribs.
Precipitation and warm weather means the ski resort plans to temporarily shut down.
Officials think the body recovered outside the ski area is a man who disappeared last January.
Other climbers worked with dispatchers to save a fallen man for hours.
