Group: Seattle Outdoor Adventurers
When: Thursday, Oct 19, 2:30–5:30 pm
Where: Preston Park & Ride, Issaquah
*1.6 miles up (1600 foot elevation gain so steeper than most)
*Steep and more of a climbers trail so not like a well maintained Mt Si trail.
*Will head up the climbers path under the Iron Horse trail, then onto the Iron Horse and then walk a bit till we see the Change Creek trail. From there it is up a series of tight switchbacks till we attain the first top (Hall Point) then on to a short scramble to Ollalie Point.
*If in shape, the goal will be to do the uphill leg in about 45 minutes
Who should do this:
*Only those in shape given the 1600 ft elevation gain in the first 1.6m.
*With the scramble at the top you must also be comfortable with that as well.
*Pace will be moderate to fast with little or no breaks on way up. Plan on stopping at the top for a snacks (if you want).
*Must have headlamp! Will check before we head out and anyone who does not have one will not be coming on this hike.
*Hiking poles encouraged but not required
*Rain or shine. If you only hike in good weather, please do not sign up.
