Camera trap photos and DNA evidence confirmed that a breeding female wolverine is living south of I-90, biologists said–the first one to be found in the South Cascades since the mammal was extirpated there in the early 1900s. That’s great news for the rare animal; only 25 are thought to remain in Washington.
