Group: AMC NH
When: Saturday, May 19, 10 am-12 pm
Where: Goodale’s Bike Shop, Nashua, NH
Cost: Free (registration required)
Details: Concerned about fixing a flat while on the road? Want to know a little more about bicycle maintenance? Experienced AMC bicycle leavers will provide a hands-on bike maintenance workshop which will answer those questions. On past rides we have had numerous questions as to what to do in case of a flat tire (no, the answer is NOT walk home!), so we will concentrate of flat tire repair. We will also cover a basic pre-ride checklist, basic maintenance tools, general repairs, and bicycle fit. You should bring to the workshop the front tire from your bicycle (or your entire bicycle if you wish) to practice on. Also bring your on-road tool kit. If you don’t have one, we will provide some guidance as to what to include in a repair kit. Goodale’s Bicycle Shop in Nashua has agreed to loan us their garage space for this event. However, the workshop will be led by AMC NH Chapter bike leaders. This is a free event and registration is required. To register, or to receive further information, contact the event leader. Space is limited so reserve your space early.
