Favorite local dayhike: Little Kennesaw Mountain Loop Trail
Favorite local overnight hike: High Shoals Falls
Best prehike breakfast spot: QT! Throw those energy bars in your bag and get on the trail.
Best posthike dinner spot: Goldberg’s Deli. Massive breakfast-all-day menu, big biscuits, cream of wheat, food coma, mmmmmm.
Favorite thing about hiking around Atlanta: We are “The City in a Forest.” You can drive five minutes from almost anywhere in the city and find a cool and secluded spot to recharge or explore.
Top tip for Atlanta hikers: For quick dayhikes avoid the oversaturated trails of the northern burbs and head south of the city to less traveled paths at Arabia Mountain or Chattahoochee Bend State Park.
