Take a walk with Henry Shires (from your armchair!) along the Pacific Crest Trail, from Mexico to Canada. We will “walk” 2,660 miles and share the joys and challenges of four months on the trail. Henry Shires is an avid long-distance hiker.
“My 1999 thru-hike of the Pacific Crest Trail transformed my life,” he said.
A decade ago, Henry and his family moved to Nevada County to continue work on their business, Tarptent, an internationally-recognized company specializing in lightweight tents. Henry started Tarptent after making his own gear for his life-changing PCT hike. BYLT is proud to have Tarptent as a community partner!
During the cool season BYLT’s lecture series, “Armchair Treks” cover a vast array of informational and educational topics – from animal behavior to survival tactics are covered in this lecture series, held throughout the winter months (when we can’t get outdoors). Learn, grow, and get inspired!
