Details: Join a series of five guided hikes this summer through forests and fields as WMUR and The Society for the Protection of New Hampshire Forests team up to explore some of New Hampshire's diverse landscapes. From the seacoast to the White Mountains, walk paths overlooking the Presidential Range and take in a remote vista over Newfound Lake. Treks will also include ones to tidal pools along the state's rocky seacoast, to rare old growth and to clover-filled meadows in the Connecticut River Valley. Hikes include: HIKE 1 High Blue Reservation on June 29; HIKE 2 Creek Farm in Portsmouth on July 7; HIKE 3 Cockermouth Forest in Hebron on July 11; HIKE 4 The Rocks Estate in Bethlehem on July 18; and HIKE 5 Mulligan Forest in Nottingham on Aug. 1.
