“Oregon couple gets lost finding Christmas Tree—for the third time in a row.”

To get this week’s fact Or Fiction, you had to pay attention to details: This story is mostly true, as an Oregon couple did get lost and caught in a survival situation while hunting for a Christmas tree. The big difference is they were lost twice in a row—not three times in a row. Otherwise, a true story of unprepared people running into outdoorsy trouble.

Tim DeChristopher has launched a defense based on selective prosecution—the idea that he’s being singled out unfairly for being a green crusader.
