This isn’t new, but it’s pretty sweet: Back in May, an amateur wildlife videographer in Sinks Canyon State Park near Lander, Wyoming, caught footage of a young male bighorn sheep challenging an unusual opponent—his own Toyota 4-Runner. Clearly in a mood to prove his alpha-male status, the ram didn’t hesitate to start attacking his metal rival.

Bighorn violence towards humans is exceedingly rare; while in Glacier National Park a few days ago, a male much larger than this one ambled up the trail, gave us a look, and continued, munching his buffet of flowers. Good thing, too, since I’m a lot more soft-bodied than a Toyota.

All in all, I think I’m going to have to call this one for the bighorn. After all, the SUV backed down. Bighorn 1, Toyota 0.
