OUR TAKE The all-carbon FKs are the lightest poles on the market but there’s nothing flimsy about their construction. The fixed-length, tapered shaft starts at 20mm diameter up top—at least 4mm wider than most poles, a size advantage that boosts sturdiness. The increased strength bolstered one tester’s confidence on Colorado’s Four Pass Loop: “I leaned hard on these during the steepest sections, and they never buckled,” he says. Testers also lauded the foam grips, which quickly molded to their hands.
TRAIL CRED “Frigid Air Pass is a beast, but these poles eased the ascent and descent without weighing my arms down at all,” our Colorado tester says.
