What’s the best way to re-attach seam seal tape that is pulling away from waterproof fabric items such as a waterproof stuff sack or tent fly?

In most cases, the manufacturer will fix the problem–if you can part with the item for up to six weeks. If you need it done by next weekend’s trip, you can try the repair yourself. For minor problems, squirt some
Seam Grip under the loose areas and press back into place. For major damage, peel the tape right off and scrub the seams clean with rubbing alcohol to remove any residue. Then, use an irrigation syringe to apply seam sealer to all exposed seams. Be sure to let any repair job cure for at least 24 hours before packing it away.
