This 19-ounce package features a 16 oz. stainless steel cup. There are three major parts: the boiling cup, the coffee dripping middle, and the insulated drinking cup at the end. It’s great for cold mornings, or even as a backup for your car.

This gizmo doesn’t feature compact design, which may deter minimalists. Still, setup is simple. First, boil water in the tapered stainless-steel cauldron. This takes about 1 minute, 20 seconds. Be careful not to burn the rubber silicone off the handles.

While water boils, you load up the brown plastic brewing chamber with your favorite brew. You won’t have to settle for the Folgers single servings ever again. Brunton recommends boiling a minimum of 5 tablespoons of ground coffee.

Install the filter on the top of the brewing chamber. The screen on the filter is integrated into the grey plastic rather lightly, and it looks like you could poke it out during a cleaning session if not careful.

The first part of the process is complete in less than 2 minutes, 20 seconds. Attach the brewing chamber onto your water cup. You can see the fill line engraved on the stainless steel cup for reference.

Attach the insulated cup to the top of the brewing chamber, then flip the whole thing over. For further entertainment, grab a seat and watch the water work its way through the coffee grounds.

Carefully remove the boiling cup and the brew chamber in one unit, and if desired, re-prepare for an extra jolt. Unless you are a bean fiend like me and like to make motor oil for coffee, this setup produces a balanced coffee mix.

The insulated mug keeps coffee warm even in very cold temperatures, but a double wall inside and silicone rim outside keep hands and lips from burning. The Brunton Flip N Drip retails for around $40 but can be found some places for around $31. Salud!
