Every component of the boot is made in America – from the Vibram USA outsole to the Horween leather upper – for a boot with the finest quality materials and construction. The Sentinel’s upper is made from waterproof, full-grain BackBay leather from the renowned Horween Leather Company. The leather is lightweight and well oiled, making it extremely durable and long-wearing even when used in harsh conditions. GORE-TEX waterproof lining guarantees that feet stay dry, keeping water out and wicking away moisture. A Mutant polyurethane footbed has performance arch support and a nylon insole board offers new-age comfort. The insole provides firm support from the heel to the ball of the foot, for support and protection when carrying heavy packs, while the soft flex through the toe area has a broken-in feeling from the very first wear. Wearers can depend on the Vibram Bifida rubber outsole for traction and a solid rubber rand for added durability. An articulated lacing system locks the foot in place and top closed eyelets prevent snagging.
