Brand: White River Knife and Tool
Why we like it: It’s a no-fuss fixed blade for camp chores.
It’s easy to see this knife for what it seems to lack: namely, a body. But months of hard use lead testers to conclude it’s not missing anything at all. The 2.9-inch carbon-steel blade proved hard and sharp enough for prying and one tester used it to scrape epoxy: “It worked just as well as a razor blade,” he says. The index finger hole and notches for the second finger and thumb helped us make precision slices and cuts, while the knife’s curved shape shined when chopping veggies for dinner. Bonus: It has a bottle opener, too. whiteriverknives.com
