Warbonnet Outdoors Blackbird XLC
Most spacious
Our take For tall folks who may have previously been dissuaded from hammocking, this might change your mind. Our 6’2” tester easily fit in the Blackbird XLC, thanks to the 11-foot length (longest in test), 62-inch width, and fixed ridgeline. “I’m used to sleeping in the fetal position, but there was more than enough room for me to stretch out,” he says. This hammock holds up to 250 pounds.
The details Removable netting keeps bugs away, but the Blackbird XLC doesn’t have any weather protection. An extra patch of material near the head fans outward, creating a storage pocket for odds and ends. “I stashed my jacket, my phone, and my wallet on the shelf,” one tester says.
Trail cred “The zippers that run the entire length of the hammock made getting in and out a cinch, even in the middle of the night,” one tester says.
