SUPER MINIMAL TRAIL RUNNER
Support is minimalist, with a 2mm drop and maximum flex throughout the midsole, but a triple layer of EVA protects feet from all but direct hits on rocks.
These are ideal for runners who prefer a light, fleet-footed feeling and like to sense the trail underfoot. “I also love them as camp slippers on backpacking trips,” says our tester.
The shallow, multi-directional lugs are grippy on packed trails and dry rock slabs.
As we’d expect from a shoe this light and affordable, its lifespan is shorter. The thin, textured synthetic upper held up well, but the toecap began to peel after about 100 miles.
Best for forefoot strikers and ultralighters, these minimalist shoes shine on singletrack.
