Therm-a-Rest NeoAir Dream

Brand: Therm-a-Rest

Model: NeoAir Dream

Most Comfortable
Warning: Don’t brag about this pad’s comfort. “My girlfriend snagged mine!” says one tester. A thick, soft pillow top (heavy) and NeoAir pad (1 lb. 9 oz., removable for three-season use) combine for 4 inches of decadent cushion. The impressive 6.0 R-value* kept our testers almost too cozy while staging for winter ascents on Colorado Fourteeners. “This was dangerously close to ruining my alpine start,” says one. Downside: weight and bulk. $200; 4 lbs.

*R-value This rating measures a pad’s resistance (that’s the “R”) to heat loss. The higher the number, the warmer the pad.
