Swiftkick Pursuit Heavy Hike

On cold, sloppy slogs through Virginia, our Appalachian Trail testers were grateful for the Pursuit Heavy Hike on their 550-mile march through the state. Thick cushion all over kept their feet warm and dry on subfreezing days with snow, sleet, and mud, and provided extra pad- ding when the path got rocky and rooty. A high merino content (73 percent) pre- vented their feet from getting swampy when temps rose into the 40s. Our testers say the Pursuit never bagged out across the whole of Virginia, thanks to 2 percent elastane. Bummer: No small option in the unisex sizing.
