Sony RX100 V

Best performance in a small package

Brand: Sony

Model: RX100 V

Point-and-shoots are great for saving space and ounces, but often suffer in the image-quality department. Not so with the RX100 V, which offers the best size-versus-quality compromise we’ve seen. You get pro performance in a body roughly the size of Clif bar. A 1-inch sensor is significantly larger than those found in competitors, and allows you to shoot low-light scenes at high ISOs with little image degradation. This camera is perfect for shooting wide-angle landscapes, passing clouds, or even star trails. Caveat: Although it costs much less than a higher-powered DSLR, the RX100 V is expensive for a point-and-shoot.
