Sleeping Bag Review: The North Face Momentum 900

Way warm for the weight

So far, this pricey down bag has lived up to its promise: way warm for the weight. Wisconsin native and Online Managing Editor Kris Wagner stayed plenty warm on shivery 15-degree nights in Virginia and Colorado, and he’s looking forward to using the bag at the rated 0 degrees this winter, when he says its compact stuffed size will save him significant pack space. A half-length zipper and 900-fill-power down keep weight to a minimum, and a thick draft collar and snug hood raise the cush factor.
