Skida Alpine Hat

Versatile beanie

Brand: Skida

Model: Alpine Hat

Our take Love for this cap spreads from coast to coast. Our testers discovered this Vermont-crafted headwarmer on Alaska’s Aleutian Islands, where the fishermen swore by its warmth, quick-dry properties, and comfort. A thin, smooth polyester/spandex face fabric cuts wind, while the polyester midweight fleece inside balances warmth and weight. Our testers took the Skida Alpine to the Yukon territory and raced in a local Nordic ski event; when the brisk 15°F morning warmed to a balmy 28°F and their heads stayed dry, they understood why their Alaskan buddies were hooked. Moderate stretch offered a comfy fit for all but our largest-headed tester.

Trail cred “It’s surprisingly sturdy for a hat so light,” one of our Alaskan testers crowed. “Gusts can’t get in, even with the North Wind ripping through.”
