Skhoop Supreme Gore Thermium Short Skirt
Who says you can’t wear a skirt in winter?
Brand: Skhoop
Model: Supreme Gore Thermium Short Skirt
Warmth “Insulated skirt” may sound like an oxy-moron—after all, every single one of them has a rather large vent built into the bottom—but after our tester wore the Skhoop Supreme in single-digit temps in Jackson, Wyoming, she was hooked. “I put it on over a pair of my running tights, and my legs were perfectly comfortable, even with the constant wind,” she says. Credit the continuous-filament synthetic insulation and the windproof Gore Thermium shell on the 17-inch-long skirt.
Mobility The full-length right zip and ¹⁄₃-length left zip can be fine-tuned for freedom of movement; we had no restriction even when cross-country skiing and snowshoeing in steep terrain. (Add gaiters if you’re tromping through powder.) The 8-by-8-inch, zippered front pockets are roomy enough for snacks, lip balm, and a map at once. Downside: price. XS-XL
