Sierra Designs Euphoria 30

A women's bag that stays warm even when wet.

Brand: Sierra Designs

Model: Euphoria 30

[women ’s pick]

Our female testers raved about the cut and comfort of the 15°F Euphoria, and our sockless sleepers especially liked the fleece-lined footbox. (Those who slept with socks on said their feet kept catching.) Our tester was amazed by the precise-yet-roomy fit, courtesy of the Flex construction, which uses elastic binding tape. The HeatSync synthetic fill insulates well when wet, as our Yellowstone tester found out.

“We pitched our tent in an ill-advised spot, and it started raining while we were out geyser-watching. When we returned, there was a small river flowing through our tent. Nevertheless, with a wet bag and temps dipping into the high 20s, I was able to stay warm and get a good (although damp) night’s sleep.”

Bonus: The Euphoria also comes in a long (5’11”) size, meaning that gals over 5’6” don’t have to settle for a men’s bag. (Men’s version of this bag is the Utopia.) $160; 3 lbs. 6 oz.; reg. and long; sierradesigns.comFlex baffles and ergonomic head and foot provide excellent overnight comfort.
