Our take This is the mummy bag for people who hate mummy bags. The 61-inch shoulder, 57-inch hip, and 48-inch footbox dimensions split the difference between a traditional alpine mummy and a semi-rectangular bag, earning praise from our big-shouldered testers. “I’d given up on getting a good night’s sleep in a mummy, so this was a surprise,” one says. “Plus, with 750-fill down, it packs down to the size of a soccer ball.” The catch: Extra space means extra material—and a few more ounces.

The details The oversized draft tubes at the zipper and collar prevented cold air from sneaking in.
