Walk mode A Grilamid shell trims weight (strong but thin, it’s 20 percent lighter than Pebax). The 60-degree range of motion is excellent, and the thermomoldable liner proved more breathable than most, thanks to perforations that wick moisture to the shell, where it condenses. “I still needed to pull out the liners to let them dry every night, but my feet definitely stayed drier while skiing, even on 55°F days,” one tester says. The result? Warmer feet and fewer blisters. “I stayed out longer on cold days because my liners never got saturated with sweat,” he explains.
Fit Testers with “sixth toe” bone spurs loved the extra width (103.5 mm) through the forefoot, while its low-volume fit though the arch also pleased testers seeking a tight fit for slop-free control. But it’s narrow through the calf and suits slender legs better than those with bulging muscles.
Downhill “Matched with a mid-width ski, this boot chewed up steeps, chutes, tree lines—situations that call for finesse rather than resort-style charging,” one tester reports.
