With impressive stats like 4K recording, a super-wide-angle lens, and high continuous shooting, the WG-M2 might sound fragile. But it’s built to handle everything you can dish out: waterproof up to 60 feet, drop proof up to 6 feet, and it still works in subfreezing temperatures (we tested this), all without an external housing. After a few rough outings and a dunking in Colorado’s Boulder Creek, the camera still worked. Bonus: Record upside-down videos and it auto-adjusts the picture right side up. Caveat: the WiFi connectivity needs tweaking—our prototype failed to connect our phones for photo transfers and remote operation. us.ricoh-imaging.com
