Patagonia Nano Puff Pants
Ounce for ounce, there’s no warmer option.
Brand: Patagonia Gear Reviews
Model: Nano Puff Pants
Warmth These insulated Patagonia Nano Puff Pants are like tent booties for your legs—even if you only wear them around camp, they’re totally worth it. “I sported these sans long johns in the 30s after a punishing day of ski touring in British Columbia. It was the emotional equivalent of slipping into my favorite jammies after a long day at the office,” says a tester. They’re filled with PrimaLoft Gold Eco (super-warm and 55 percent recycled content), so we also wore them underneath our shell pants as toasty baselayers on frigid days above treeline.
Durability The reinforced nylon seat didn’t snag when scraped across rocks, plus it kept us dry when sitting directly on snow, thanks to a DWR finish. Caveat: The polyester shell needs some TLC. Wear shell pants for protection in rough terrain. XS-XXL
