A daypack is perhaps the most-used product in any hiker’s arsenal, and the Talon 22 is about as good as it gets in the category thanks to smart features and a stable carry.
The Talon has organization impressively dialed for a pack this size. Pockets galore—including two hipbelt pouches, a mesh front shove-it pocket, a zippered internal pocket, and side pockets—ensure that you’ll never have to hunt for lost chapstick. You also get trekking pole storage and a helmet carry if you decide to push the Talon into multisport mode.
A wide hipbelt and shoulder straps make easy work of carrying up to 20 pounds, and the foam-and-mesh backpanel allows for airflow on hot days. We’re not saying the Talon is the perfect daypack, but we’re hard-pressed to find anything lacking about it.
