Marmot Kompressor Verve 26 Daypack Review

A breathable pack for sweaty testers.

Brand: Marmot Gear Reviews

Model: Kompressor Verve 26

[hot-weather champ]

Hate it when your pack soaks up sweat like a sponge? The Kompressor’s backpanel uses slotted, non-absorbent foam and a soft, wicking polyester that doesn’t wet out. “I hike shirtless when the weather allows,” says one sweaty tester. “This backpanel felt great against my skin, and the vertical strips of padding created a chimney-like effect that kept air flowing.” The panel-loading packbag has a massive, C-shaped zipper that fillets the pack open like a suitcase. Caveat: With no load-lifter straps and a 1-inch webbing hipbelt that merely keeps the load from flopping, this pack is best suited for light loads (less than 15 pounds). $109; 1 lb. 10 oz.; 26 liters; 2 sizes; marmot.com
