Model: MightyMo
Our take Tiny cookers are great for minimalist trips, but that doesn’t mean you need to resign yourself to a minimalist menu. JetBoil’s first conventional canister stove (it doesn’t have an integrated pot) includes a regulator that delivers better-than-average simmer control for a tiny 3-ounce stove. Go ahead and make pasta sauce, risotto, stew, or soup with less risk of it bubbling over or burning. The 10,000 BTU burner works with any type of pot, but if you want faster boil times, pair it with JetBoil’s 1.5L Cooking Pot ($60), which has a heat-trapping FluxRing for better efficiency (three minutes to boil a liter versus five minutes without it). Like most mini canister stoves, it’s vulnerable to wind. Shield it or pack a screen.
Trail cred “The stove is more stable than I imagined,” said one tester after camping in Yosemite. “My 8-cup, top-heavy coffee percolator sat solidly on the wide supports.”
