The Windrider Southwest now has even more durable Spectra Hardline exterior pockets to avoid irritating snags on the dry, spiny branches and brush of the American southwest.

This frameless pack with internal stays is specifically designed for mountain hiking, backpacking, and long-distance hiking but is also highly suitable for day-hikers, thru-hikers, section-hikers, climbers, distance cyclists or campers with pack loads under 35 pounds.

The Windrider Southwest is constructed from our rip-stop Cuben fiber/nylon hybrid material which is durable, lightweight, and waterproof. Features include a wide hip belt for more support and comfort, large hip belt pockets, an internal hydration sleeve for a water bladder, an ice axe loop and keeper, compression straps, removable straps, and removable aluminum stays.

– Wider and better padded antimicrobial hip belt with 1½” webbing belt
– Two waterproof hip pockets for snacks or electronics
– Roll-top storm closure with Velcro to keep closure aligned and easy to roll closed
– Top Y-strap compressor system – designed to also hold sleeping pad or other gear
– Side compression straps to tighten pack load and to stow trekking poles when not in use
– Removable straps to store snowshoes or other equipment
– Ice axe loop and keeper
– Thicker padded shoulder straps with moisture wicking, antimicrobial mesh spacer fabric allowing for both cushion and maximum air flow
– Adjustable sternum strap with self tensioning elastic
