Helly Hansen turned to its prestigious North American guide partners, Mountain Madness and H2O Heli Guides, for design input on its expanded 2012 Odin outerwear and all-new sportswear series. Their advice: make it even lighter. Helly’s designers met the challenge with the streamlined 242-gram Fastpack Jacket that’s built to handle inclement weather with the same aplomb as this year’s more burly, fully featured options. It’s a super thin, lightweight shell designed for fast and light ascents but built to handle unexpected weather. Features include water-resistant front zip and zippered pockets, helmet-compatible hood, pit zips and reflective trim.
