GPS Review: TomTom GO 300
Just throw this unit in the car and go
This innovative mini-TV-type unit caters to on-the-move types who want a fully loaded, lightning-fast, highly portable navigation system for the road. Just throw it into your carry-on, and you can use it in your rental car to navigate a city or find a trailhead. If you miss a turn, the processor recalculates your route in seconds. The GO is Bluetooth-compatible, so you can sync a handful of mobile phones to it and use it as a speakerphone while driving. The optional PLUS service provides real-time traffic and weather reports. One complaint: Testers wish it could accept UTM coordinates to help them find trailheads without physical addresses.
