Gordini Polar II Glove
The full coverage, warmth and breathability means this glove can go from the trail to the slopes.
Model: Polar II
Our take Gloves often fall into the extremes—either too warm or not warm enough. The 750-fill Downtek mixed with synthetic in the Gordini Polar II ensures hands stay dry inside even when its wet outside. The placement of the synthetic in the palm lowers bulk and heightens grip while the Downtek on the outside keeps the glove breathable. “The inner lining wicked away moisture for an incredible breathability-to-warmth ratio, even while snowshoeing and gaining 500 feet of elevation in a mile in Colorado during a bluebird day in the 30s,” our tester says.
The details One cinch around the wrist does the job of keeping the cold and snow out, while a second cinch fits the glove tighter to the hand allowing for more mobility. The leash let us free our fingers to open an energy bar without much trouble, but it’s just as easily removable. Bonus: a non-leather spot on the thumb softly wipes drippy noses.
Trail cred “I’ve used these for everything from digging snow caves in Rocky Mountain National Park to chopping and carrying wood for my cabin’s stove,” our tester claims. “Even after hours in the snow, not a drop of water or cold penetrated through like some of my other gloves.”
