Sea to Summit SigmaSet 2.2
Best cookset
OUR TAKE Most two-person cooksets are either superheavy, superexpensive, or superflimsy. The SigmaSet is none of those. It weighs just over 2 pounds for two pots (2.7 and 1.2 liters), two bowls, and two cups. The pots’ stainless-steel construction makes the SigmaSet more durable than aluminum competitors, and neither pot suffered a dent over a season of testing. Each has a silicone-based coating on the bottom to help distribute heat evenly, but each showed some minor scratches from the stove after an initial trip in the North Cascades (performance wasn’t affected after, though).
TRAIL CRED “This set is easy to pack,” our tester notes. “Everything nests into the big pot and the handle swivels around to keep it all secure.”
