Experience all of the benefits of sunglasses with no change in natural color with these shades from Tifosi.
With polarized, photochromic lenses for $100, the Dolomite offers an affordable option for hikers who want top-notch versatility and durability. Our tester praised the true-color performance of the Smoke Polarized Fototec lens (12 additional interchangeable lenses can be purchased separately for $15 to $50), which lightens or darkens (from 11.9 to 32.1 percent Visible Light Transmission) in varied conditions.
“Other lenses drastically change natural colors; these provide crystal clarity with zero color alteration—perfect for taking in beach sunsets or snowy peaks.” He also appreciated the no-fog venting and, after dropping the Dolomite countless times, the tough-as-nails Grilamid TR-90 frame material (see Ryders Cypress). Caveat: One tester gave negative marks for coverage and felt there wasn’t enough tint for the brightest conditions. $100; 1.1 oz; tifosioptics.com
